Here it is...another year and another RIPPING two nights at Nielson Beach, Shuswap Lakes, B.C., Canada. The Saturday night raging beach party was by far the best we've seen on our boating trips and we'll be looking to top it next summer!

I've put together a HUGE mix here for memory's sake...some tracks from all over the range. Poppy to get started, some progressive mixed in, some massive drops, and of course darker and dirtier as it goes along. The last track is completely mocking of George W. Bush...I love it. I hope the mix is successful in getting across how much energy was on the beach those two nights. It really was electrifying...and I hope you enjoy listening to this mix as much as I loved playing to the beach and then recording the set.

Well well well...July has rolled around, the Stampede is about to hit full swing here in Calgary and DLite has finally got some summer beats to help rock away the hot weather!! As is with the image selected for the episode art this hour long cracker is all about moooovin' on. WOW! That took forever!! Thanks for all of your patience waiting for Episode 10 to drop…the best explanation I have is that life got in the way a couple of times the last few months. Never to fear though, DLite is back with a vengeance.

Episode 10 by design is a peak hour mix and so it pounds from start to finish! Definitely less funky than usual and much much dirtier with electro and progressive touches to be sure. Spring is in the air (here in Canada anyway) and you should absolutely let the energy of the music pull you out of you winter numbness…beats and summer were made for each other and this is the perfect start!

A long wait after the last 'cast and Episode 8 is finally here! Had some tech issues switching to a Mac platform, but with those almost resolved I FINALLY got to unload a mix. Two months of pent up energy has come tearing out in the form of Episode 8 and it’s a Ripper!! It definitely has an Electro slant to the set, but not without the touch of Funk and Vocals that are Dlite staples. I hope you enjoy listening to the mix as much as I enjoyed making it!

As always the summer brought us two raging nights rockin' Neilson Beach in the Shuswap, British Columbia, Canada. DJ-Dlite played a five hour set each night on the beach and almost brought the roof down (literally) – some of my favourite tracks from the last six months. Rooftop patio, fireworks, full moon, perfect breeze, summer vacation for many and WICKED music!

The easiest way of not missing an episode and getting all the music on a consistent basis is by SUBSCRIPTION. It is FREE to subscribe to this podcast! Most of you will be familiar with the how to's of this process, but if you're not sure here are a few tips!

1. Manually subscribe using iTunes:

a. Open iTunes and then open the iTunes Store
b. In the search window (field) in the upper right hand corner type in djdlite.
c. The only hit that should appear is 'The Official DJ Dlite Podcast'
d. Click on any 'subscribe' button on the page.
e. From this point on iTunes will check for new episodes FOR YOU and automatically download any new material into your library. The downloaded episodes can be found under "Podcasts" (under 'LIbrary') on the left margin of the iTunes page.

2. Automatically subscribe through iTunes

a. Click 'Subscribe with iTunes' on the lower right hand section of THIS PAGE. iTunes should open and download the content automatically to your library.

3. Direct RSS Feed:

a. Again, on the lower right hand section of this page, just above the 'Subscribe with iTunes' button are the tiny letters 'RSS Feed'. This is a link that you can click. Do it.
b. You will be redirected to a page within your browser that will offer you a choice of programs with which to subscribe to the RSS feed (podcast).
c. Commonly it will store your feed in your Favorites (in Internet Explorer) under 'Feeds'. In Mozilla Firefox it will be under 'active bookmarks' which is much the same thing. You can view the feed (listen to the podcast) by accessing the file through the favorites or bookmarks in your browser.
